NATURAL crystals, clusters etc.

These pages hold all our smoky quartz crystals (and other minerals that have smoky quartz aspects within them) that are of terminated formation. These include individual crystals (natural finish and/or polished finish with single terminations; clusters and beds; and geodes (which are rare).
Smoky quartz is most commonly found in enormous massive non-terminated crystalline deposits, but can also be found in beds, layers and caves within other minerals and / or massive quartz deposits. Beds and geodes (which are less common) may be broken up into smaller clusters, or may be left whole - these can be small or absolutely enormous! Terminated crystals found individually within clusters and geodes can also be tiny or huge, depending on the source and original growth conditions of the quartz.
Single-terminated crystals are recognised by having a natural termination (point) on one end of the crystal. This is ideally both a clean and symmetrical single point, but may exhibit other aspects, such as self-healing, elestiation, twinning, but should not be grouped or clustered. Some terminated crystals suffer damage during extraction, or may have a natural outer layer of calcite or other minerals that spoil the appearance, and so may be given a polish to remove the imperfections. This does not change the energy or use of the crystal. The term "cluster" may be applied to any single or double-terminated crystal that has more than one body and termination (point).
All terminated crystals have a directive energy (simply follow their point(s)!) and as such make useful healing tools. Clusters radiate energy and are useful for cleansing a space.
