Amber: polished oval 'drop' (Dominican Republic)

This is a genuine amber specimen, marked as from the Ogligocene era - and as such is over 23 million years old! It has been polished into a rounded oval, revealing its deep golden-orange colour and various inclusions, which include a small insect - possibly an ant.
