Herkimer Diamond: crystal

This good sized Herkimer Diamond crystal has imperfect terminations, due to extraction from groundmass. Nonetheless it has two very clear ‘key’ indentations, and exhibits some nice rainbows and veiling from internal fractures. There are also some areas of pitting with surface deposits of black anthraxolite; along with several nice clear and clean faces.
