Herkimer Diamond: crystal

This good sized Herkimer Diamond crystal has one good termination, and one that is deeply pitted, showing where it became detached from its groundmass. There are some other areas of pitting with surface deposits of black anthraxolite; a few small ‘key’ indentations; and some deep internal fractures with veiling. Nonetheless the crystal has a reasonable clarity and a nice clear energy.
