Ametrine: polished point (Bolivia)

This is a good-sized piece of natural Bolivian Ametrine that has been cut and polished into a slender wedge-shaped generator point. It has a nice deep purple colour throughout the mid / upper parts of the crystal, with a nice treacle-coloured layer of citrine that is clearly visible laying parallel to one side in the upper half of the crystal. Overall the point has a good clarity, with some areas of white layering and veiling to one side and at the base.
