Herkimer Diamond: crystal

This good sized Herkimer Diamond crystal has one almost perfect termination, and one that is incomplete, probably having been lost to the groundmass during extraction. All of the visible faces and half of the crystal’s sides are nice and clean, and there are some deep areas of black inclusions of anthraxolite to one side. Additionally there is some veiling due to inner fracturing, but also some regions that have a very good clarity, especially near the termination.
