Herkimer Diamond: crystal

This small Herkimer Diamond crystal has two imperfect terminations showing where it became detached from its groundmass: one is quite deeply pitted, the other much less so. The visible sides and faces are nice and clean, and there is a smaller reasonably clean crystal growing across one side. Internally the crystal is slightly veiled, with rainbows and some internal fracturing.
