Merlinite

True Merlinite is a mix of quartz, chalcedony and Psilomelane. However some dendritic quartz and chalcedony mixes have acquired the same name, because their action and attributes hold the same energetic keys. The best material is clear, white, grey and black, sometimes with dendrites. The "rustier" material contains more ferrous impurities. As the name suggests this is a shamanic / druidic stone, taking the name of Merlin Magus. It combines the energies of the 4 elements and binds them with the 5th element of ether. I have a merlinite wand, which is used primarily for the clearing of negative energies and the balancing of natural energy fields - both human and Earthly. In the right and knowledgeable hands Merlinite can be a potent tool for transformation and working with all elemental change and transmutation. It is also a key to the mind and the emotions, revealing and releasing that which no longer serves us well.
