Brandburg Quartz

Brandburg Crystals come from a small region in South Africa of the same name. They are identifiable by their formations, which ideally are composed of very clear quartz with smoky quartz and amethyst inclusions, sometimes as phantoms. That is not to say they only form with all three types of quartz present: some are simply clear quartz; some simply smoky quartz; some are predominantly amethyst. They also have a very clear, high and fine energy that makes them excellent for use as personal meditation and personal healing crystals.Some seem to sing!
Brandburg Quartz's other primary identifying attributes are their propensity to contain 'bubbles' of air or water as inclusions within their body, which are clearly visible within their structure. Sometimes both water and air are present in the same 'bubble', resulting in rare 'en-hydro' formations; also sometimes smaller crystals grow within the body of the crystal, resulting in the even rarer manifestation formation. Two things are needed to see either of these (unless the en-hydro inclusions or manifested crystals are very large!): a magnifying glass and good light. To see them it is best to hold them up so that light shines through their structure, and then examine them closely whilst tilting the crystal from side to side. The en-hydros look like the air bubble that comes in a spirit level: some times you need to gently tap the crystal to encourage the bubble to move from side to side within the water inclusion. I have also found that sunlight warms the crystal and also can help smaller movements show up. There is much in a name - 'spirit level' is very apt, as these wonderful crystals can help balance and align the energy centres and help remain grounded whilst 'stretching' into Higher Realms - thus ensuring knowledge found is properly recalled and brought 'home'.
The other characteristic of Brandburg Quartz is that many grow in 'skeletal' formation - this 'loose' layered growth pattern is another reason why the en-hydros also might form. Skeletal formations have the same attributes as 'elestial' crystals, but their layered structure, which has gaps that hold air or water within it (sometimes highlighted by the deposition of other mineral material within), also makes them excellent for working with buried or 'layered' issues that need careful and orderly review and resolution. Skeletal formations are also good for addressing past life issues, and the nature of all this type of work is also skewed towards 'emotional' and 'thought process' based issues and anything that requires clearing or cleansing, simply because of the water and air within. In fact an en-hydro crystal combines both and is one of the best crystals you can find for dealing with and working on emotional problems; traumas; grief etc.
