Garnet
All garnets have one thing in common: they ground, centre and anchor us into physical reality.
Red garnets (rhodolite / pyrope = rose red - pale violet; almandine = orange-red - purple-red) are the most commonly used. They are excellent grounders and of use for charging and balancing the base and Earth Star chakras. They are also very stable and steady, and good for channelling energy to a weak or depleted energy field. Rhodolite garnets are of additional use to heal and charge the heart centre, bringing a sense of self-worth and love. Almandine garnets (the most common "red" garnet) are of additional use for protecting and strengthening the aura.
Green (Grossular) garnets are stones of abundance and plenty. They are heartening and balancing and bring optimism and hope to all ventures, especially those of a financial and/or business nature. They also help us link to the Earth and to the natural world and nature's gifts and abundance.
Orange (Spessartine) garnets work amazingly well with the sacral and solar plexus chakras, depending on their depth of colour. These are great supporters of creativity and add energy and an invigorating "fire" to all that is undertaken.
