Man-Made / Lab-Grown

Man-made and artificially created crystals and minerals come to the market from time to time. Some of these can be of use to the metaphysical world, sometimes in a healing situation; sometimes to make beautiful items such as jewelry; sometimes to enhance inner work through meditation and art. Some come about by accident (including Gaia Stone and Pink Lazurine); some are deliberately created (such as Siberian Quartz - see more below). As long as this is done with purposeful intent - and NOT to deceive by purporting to be a naturally occurring mineral or crystal - they can be used in much the same way as other crystals. It should however be noted that only crystals that are naturally occuring will have a Source Consciousness.
Siberian Quartz is grown using a hydrothermal technique in a high temperature autoclave from a natural seed crystal of clear quartz. This lab-grown method of producing quartz crystals mimics Nature, using high temperatures and high pressure water solutions; and (if coloured forms of quartz are wanted - to mimic amethyst or citrine, for example) adding minerals to the solution that feeds the crystal’s growth in the autoclave. COBALT is added to create Siberian Blue Quartz; CHROMIUM / CORUNDUM to create Siberian Ruby Quartz; MANGANESE to create Siberian Purple Quartz; IRON & LITHIUM to create Siberian Gold Quartz; and IRON to create Siberian Green Quartz.
