Orange River Quartz

These rare and unusual quartz crystals come from the Orange River area of the Northern Cape and Namibia, South Africa. These specimens can be found in a wide range of formations, but many exhibit elestial / candle / celestial forms. Clusters are most common and usually quite small, although some single larger crystals, often rarer forms such as sceptres or cathedrals, can be found. Colours are normally in the red / orange / scarlet and yellow ranges. They are coloured thus as a consequence of varying amounts of iron deposits in the mineral matrix. Sometimes you can find red phantoms, which are a real treat! All these crystals seem to "zing" with energy and supply one with the get-up-and-go that sometimes we need when we are feeling a bit low or lazy. Interestingly they are grounding AND uplifting at the same time, allowing one to more easily "stretch" one's energy field up/out and down/in at the same time. Each piece has a very individual energy and has plenty to say!
