Zircon

Zircon is a zirconium silicate mineral with a hardness of 6.5 - 7.5. It forms as tetragonal prismatic crystals with bi-pyramidal terminations (i.e. in the form of an octahedron). Naturally they are brown-red, although some are heat-treated for the gem trade, which turns them colourless, green, blue or yellow.
Zircon is a highly energising and stimulating stone, especially to the base and sacral chakras (some of our students have had some very interesting experiences meditating with zircon!) It can however energise ANY sluggish energy centre or meridian. Often overlooked, this powerful little crystal is capable of grounding high-frequency energies through the central column into the Earth Star chakra, enabling perfect balance to be attained between the spiritual world and the mundane. This is of especial use to those who tend to be spacey, or who need help grounding during or after meditation or channelling. Zircon is also a powerful cleanser and detoxifier of negativity. Interesting results can be attained if you place one crystal on each of the 9 major chakras to awaken, clear, energise and align them. The zircon can also support one in creating and maintaining the "Holon of Balance", which is an energetic structure (formed by intention) in the shape of an octahedron. Visualising this around the body aids retention of balance and increases stability during periods of energy shifts or earth changes.
