Bustamite is a calcium manganese silicate. The manganese gives it its characteristic pink colouration, which can be pale or deep in colour, sometimes with a "brown" cast. As a lone mineral it is quite rare. It can also be found in combination with other minerals, including silvery-metallic manganese and sugilite.
Its colour suggests it value when working with the heart, base and earth star chakras, with grounding a sense of security; bringing an understanding of the art of manifestation; and attratcing the blessing of love (for the self and others) within the energy bodies. Part of Bustamite's work involves linking the base and heart centres, grounding joyful compassion in all ones endeavours and stimulating the creative processes that bring a "lightness" to ones life.
