This phantom quartz point has been polished into tabular formation, and is a rare combination of minerals: the phantom layering is a mix of silvery plates and rosettes of hematite crystals, and oily-red dots and streaks of lepidocrocite, giving a mix similar to 'fire' quartz that is sometimes referred to as Harlequin quartz. It feel very reflective and strangely mobile. There are also a few golden streaks of iron, and some of the surfaces have been left unpolished and pitted with groundmass. The upper half of the quartz is nice and clear, whilst the lower half is more milky. In all, there is something new to see on every side.
