This rare Blue Quartz has been in my personal collection for many years. It is a polished point that has wonderful clarity within the quartz, and a deep silvery-blue phantom layer of fibrous minerals (probably riebeckite) running diagonally through it. This grows from a mineral-rich layer of groundmass and deeply veiled quartz, which is clearly visible through the base. The main face has seven non-symmetrical sides opposing a smaller triangular face, making this a (slightly wonky!) channeller formation; and the termination is very clean.
