This small Herkimer Diamond crystal has one nearly perfect termination, and one that is incomplete. It appears that almost 1/3 of the crystal has been lost during the extraction process – some pitting and keys suggesting that it might once have been part of a larger cluster. Despite this the crystal has a very nice clarity, with some pretty veiling and rainbows due to the internal fracturing.
