Agate - Ocho: geode

Pretty halved agate nodule, which exhibits a creamy-white banded chalcedony layer around the outside and a lovely clear quartz crystalline core. The inner surface is dotted with some tiny radiating clusters of a black mineral that has ultra fine hair-like needles: I am unsure what this is, but it could be Hollandite (see separate entry). Geodes were said to have been used by Native Americans to transport messages to Grandfather Sky. Melody says that the Ocho (small geode) promotes victory and freedom coupled with a childlike sense of innocence and trust.
